The Mellow Valley Community Center serves as a premier regional anchor for East Central Alabama, dedicated to fostering unity and rural resilience. By stewarding the historic Mellow Valley School, we combat regional deterioration through charitable and educational outreach, while providing critical public safety infrastructure for the residents of Clay County and the surrounding areas.

Lifesaving Rural Infrastructure
Due to our rural location, access to rapid emergency healthcare is a critical challenge for our community. The Mellow Valley Community Center directly addresses this by serving as a designated Emergency Air Ambulance Landing Zone. By maintaining a clear, accessible site for medical transport helicopters (Life-Flight), we ensure that local residents facing severe trauma or medical crises can be stabilized and airlifted to major medical centers without catastrophic delays.

We act as a central connection point, hosting charitable distributions, social services, and educational programs that empower the regional workforce.

We preserve the historic Mellow Valley School as a landmark of Alabama heritage, ensuring this public asset remains a vibrant space for civic engagement.

The Mellow Valley Community Center is proudly operated by the Mellow Valley High School Alumni and Friends Association (MVHSAFA), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
